- Book the time date and location with your Celebrant.
- Confirm your booking as soon as possible.
- Find or obtain both your Birth Certificates, and Termination documents if either of you have been previously married. You will be required to present the Original Copies of these documents for verifiation, before the wedding can take place.
- Download, print, and complete the Notice of Intended Marriage Form
- Have your signatures witnessed by an authorised person, (note read the list under the signature box and choose one – Local Police are usually the easiest to have as witnesses)
- Post the NOIM to your chosen celebrant as soon as possible.
- The notice should reach the Celebrant more than one month and one day before the proposed wedding date.
- Your celebrant will contact you and arrange a face to face interview, or send a questionnaire for you to complete, so that your ideas can be incorporated into the draft of your ceremony.
- You will receive by post or email a draft to read to each other, and after discussion, make or request alterations to make it suit you.
- Once this stage is reached, you will be able to concentrate on all the other important things required to make your day special.
